Something that sets Ireland apart from the rest of the world is our unique love for music and the arts. No trip to Ireland or indeed Tipperary is complete without having witnessed a true Irish Session.
Traditional Irish Music Sessions
Irish sessions in their purest form are not rehearsed or indeed performance perfect and no two are ever the same. There are many great sessions held in nearby hostelries on various nights of the week, so you can be sure to catch one on your stay at Inch House. To name but a few the famous Wednesday night session in the Monks Bar, Thurles and the Monday night sessions in The Ship located in nearby Holycross where some of the best local musicians can be found. If your stay happens to include a Thursday night then one session of renown has to be Jim O’ the Mills, voted best pub in Ireland in 2015. This house only opens its doors one day a week on a Thursday. Walking through its half door brings you back in time with its flag floors and open turf fires. Attending a session here is a real event, a shared celebration of song and story and craic and genuine Irish welcome.
